EXCLUSIVE: DML responds to Sean Spicer’s announcement of new show on Newsmax TV

FEBRUARY 13, 2020

Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer announced on Thursday that he will soon be hosting his own cable television show on Newsmax TV.

In an Instagram post Thursday morning, Spicer stated, “I excited to announce that I will be hosting a new show at 6pm on Newsmax TV. “Spicer & Co,’’ debuts on Super Tuesday, March 3rd, at 6 pm ET and will air daily Monday through Friday on Newsmax TV, America’s fastest-growing cable news network.”

According to a Newxmax press release, “Spicer will lead an ensemble of Washington insiders, experts, journalists and power brokers to analyze the day’s top headlines from the Beltway and the key news from the U.S. and the world.”

Dennis Michael Lynch, founder of DMLNewsApp and TeamDML.com, responded to the news of Spicer’s new show.

Lynch was the host of “Dennis Michael Lynch: Unfiltered” on Newsmax TV from January-August, 2016. The show was the highest rated news program on NewsmaxTV and led the network to record setting ratings. However, on August 10, 2016, he announced that it was his final show because the Newsmax TV management was demanding editorial control over all the Newsmax programs. Claiming he would not accept “being restricted,” Lynch never returned to Newsmax.

Thursday evening, Lynch tweeted in reply to Spicer’s announcement: “Lol. As the guy who held most popular show ever to run on @newsmax BUT left— truth is NewsmaxTV is dead. Sean, this is like announcing you just won a black & white TV. Newsmax owner @ChrisRuddyNMX is BIG donor to @HillaryClinton. Newsmax is NOT fastest growing network. #fakenews.”
