POLL: Should President Trump accept a border security deal if it’s less than what he originally requested?

FEBRUARY 9, 2019

President Trump had requested $5.7 billion in order to build a 234-mile long steel barrier along the U.S-Mexico border.

However, according to various reports of a border security package being drafted by a bipartisan committee of 14 lawmakers, only a fraction of what Trump has requested will be included in the final proposal.

“I’ve seen the Democratic and the latest Republican offer … I can tell you this for sure, it’s not 5.7 billion dollars for a wall; it’s not anywhere close,” stated Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar, a Democratic member of the special committee.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had earlier declared she would not give $1 for the border wall, but reportedly, a compromise of around $1.6 billion is expected to be included.

The committee is continuing to work over the weekend, and is expected to present their final proposal as early as Monday.

If the deal includes $1.6 billion, instead of the $5.7 billion President Trump requested, should he go ahead and take it?

Declare a national emergency, Mr. Trump! B.Hussein Obama declared many and most were not even national in scope. An invasion of foreign actors carrying their national flags is definitely a national emergency!

President Trump, the DemoNcrats have made it clear:
    this is WAR.

    • We did not ask for this.
    • We did not want this.
But – as with all American wars – We, The People WILL FIGHT THIS.

Mr President, we elected YOU to be our Champion. Respectfully, Sir: get out there and kick some lying, conniving, racist, sexist, Fascist-Marxist-Socialist-COMMUNIST anti-Americanist DemoNcrat “Decepticon” A$$ and tell them WE, THE FRICKIN’ PEOPLE are DONE with their spoiled brat obstructionist attitudes and their unAmerican ideas – and ideals.

$5.7B for our frickin’ wall, or we start cutting government jobs PERMANENTLY when we enter the next shutdown. We just proved we can actually *successfully* run a country for over one month without 800,000 “critical” jobs.

And be sure to tell Congress we’re changing that law about THEIR pay: Congress WILL NOT BE PAID UNTIL THE GOVERNMENT REOPENS.

    ALL or NOTHING, Mr President.

    A Grateful Veteran
