President Donald Trump rallied supporters on Saturday during a speech to Value Voters, as the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry continued.

The president spoke to religious conservatives at the Value Voters Summit in Washington, DC, hosted by the Family Research Council.

The article goes on to state the following:

He appeared shocked that Democrats began an impeachment inquiry over a simple phone call with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky, when he said that the president himself said that he did not feel pressured by Trump.

Speaking to around 3,000 attendees at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., Trump brought up impeachment, saying “I never thought I’d see or hear that word with regard to me. To me, it’s an ugly word. It means so much, it means horrible horrible crimes and things. I can’t even believe it.”

“They’re coming after me because I’m fighting for you. That’s a big part of it,” Trump told the crowd, adding, “They don’t like you.”

Trump said Democrats are “bad bad people,” and that “we’re going after” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House intel chair Adam Schiff.
