NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband of Jennifer Dulos, on Tuesday pleaded not guilty in connection to the disappearance of his wife and is expected to walk out of a Connecticut courthouse with a GPS ankle monitor after spending more than a week behind bars at the Bridgeport Correctional Center.

Fotis Dulos’ attorney Norm Pattis argued that his client’s $500,000 bail should be reduced to $100,000 and said the state’s case against Dulos was weak and doubted his client would ever be charged with murder.

The article goes on to state the following:

State’s Attorney Richard Colangelo argued at a brief hearing that Fotis Dulos’ DNA was found mixed in with his wife’s blood on a faucet in the kitchen of her New Canaan home and that bond should be raised to $850,000. The judge kept it at $500,000.

In a separate report, the New York Post provided the following:

“The lab was able to confirm that the defendant’s DNA was found in a mixture on the faucet inside Jennifer’s kitchen in the house she went missing. Both the mixture and the defendant’s DNA. It was blood on the faucet,” Colangelo told Stamford Superior Court Judge John Blawie.

Fotis’ lawyer, Norm Pattis, interrupted, “He was present at the home at a dinner days earlier. It’s hardly surprising there would be trace DNA.”

But the prosecutor claimed Fotis was there in the back yard the Wednesday before Jennifer went missing.
