REPORT: High-ranking Democrat congressman calls Trump ‘a national emergency’ in fundraising email
As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News offers the following information published by WASHINGTONEXAMINER.COM:
The Democratic Party is stepping up its campaign to oust President Trump, using a fundraising effort to encourage its base to flood the polls next month because, “We can’t wait until 2020 to defeat Trump.”
Without using the “I” word, the anti-Trump bid states that the coming election will determine the fate of the presidency and GOP control of Washington.
The article goes on to state the following:
“Now is the time to act — not in November, not in 2020, but right now,” it said.
Several Democratic leaders have been hinting that their first action in January should they take control of the House will be to open impeachment hearings. Many feel that Trump colluded with Russians to torpedo Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2016 sail to the presidency, and they don’t like his behavior in office.
“Make no mistake. If [democrats] win the house, the left will have no choice but to attempt to impeach President Trump. The left and the socialist movement will be so angry if their members are elected and don’t go through an impeachment process.” @RepSeanDuffy on #TCNT

The fundraising letter was signed for the Democratic Party by Trump critic Rep. Adam Schiff.
“We only have 55 days to save our democracy,” he wrote. His full email is below:
We only have 55 days to save our democracy.
From my work in the House, I’ve seen firsthand just how far Republicans will go to protect Trump from any efforts to hold him accountable. Their blatant efforts to erode our democracy — from undermining the rule of law to ignoring Trump’s attacks on the free press — are shameful and dangerous. In my years in Congress, I have never seen anything like it. We must put a stop to it, — so I am asking you directly:
Can I count on you to make a $3 contribution right now to elect Democrats nationwide this November? We can’t wait until 2020 to defeat Trump — we have to elect a Democratic Congress that will keep him in check right now.
For months, we’ve been saying that Trump’s behavior and actions are not normal — but it’s not enough to call him out and then call it day. Now is the time to act — not in November, not in 2020, but right now.
What we do in the next 55 days will determine whether we win in November and save our democracy. There are many courageous Democratic candidates who are ready to usher in a new wave of leadership and hold Trump and Republicans accountable, but they need our support to win and they need it now.
Can I count on you to make your first $3 donation of 2018 right now? If you’ve been waiting to make a contribution, now’s the time to step up.
Thanks for standing with Democrats,
U.S. Representative, CA-28
P.S. Donald Trump is a national emergency, and in just a few weeks, we must elect a Democratic Congress to finally put a check on him. Can you make your first $3 contribution of 2018 to help take back Congress this November?
