Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., agreed Tuesday that criticisms of her are “ALWAYS” the result of “Islamophobic” people.

“Preach!” Omar tweeted in response to Pam Keith, a former Democratic candidate for Congress in Florida, saying criticism of Omar was off limits.

The article goes on to state the following:

“When you see an attack on @IlhanMN or @RashidaTlaib KNOW that it is not because they are anti-Semitic, but rather because their attackers are Islamophobic. It is NEVER about their intentions. It is ALWAYS because the right sees their presence in Congress as an affront,” Keith said on Twitter Tuesday.

Omar has ramped up her rhetoric in defense of comments critics have called anti-Semitic. Most recently, Omar defended fellow Muslim Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.

Omar wrote an op-ed with a fellow Democrat on Tuesday, claiming “white nationalism is on the rise.”
