Some landowners with property along the U.S.-Mexico border are preparing legal challenges with the expectation that the Trump administration will use eminent domain to seize land for construction of the president’s planned border wall.

The Associated Press reports that the Trump administration would face legal challenges from multiple landowners in Texas, challenges that would not be bypassed if the president follows through on his threats to declare a national emergency over illegal border crossings in order to build a wall.

The article goes on to state the following:

“You could give me a trillion dollars and I wouldn’t take it,” landowner Eloisa Cavazos, who owns property along the Rio Grande river, told the AP. “It’s not about money.”

One group the Trump administration will have to face in its fight to secure land for the wall is a Roman Catholic diocese: La Lomita chapel, a historic church built in the late 1800s that still holds services today, has fought to prevent government surveyors from accessing its land, which reportedly falls directly in the administration’s desired enforcement zone.

course you wouldn’t take the trillion dollars you’re already getting money from the drug dealers coming through your property just like the native amercian Reservation in Az., they don’t want the Border wall either they’re getting lots of money from drug dealers as well how do I know I worked there for about 3 years. Learned a whole hell of a lot in those three years about the reservation and how the kids are getting their money, alcohol and drugs.

I don’t see how putting a wall will diminish that much land…. It’s not like this is someone’s “backyard” and it’s all they have. As far as the church goes, they negotiate moving the church further from the border wall and still on the property. This is not about a frivolous wall. It’s about the protection and safety of our nation… Inconveniences happen all through life… We all have to deal with them and yes they’re stressful, but I’m a Texan and I want that wall. I don’t want anymore illegals coming in and taking what doesn’t belong to them and us being told to hand our money over for their benefits. I want my nation’s Sovereignty protected.

What is wrong with this people! In Dennis’s films he said people complain about the illegals, drugs, etc. Now they (some) will fight the wall. What is wrong? See Dennis, it is not that easy. Nothing is easy or overlook with this President!

So just build what can be built without issues, and deal with the rest later, but at least get started. The holdouts may change their minds once any illegal crossings are directed to their lands.

So don’t build on their property. These will become the only passable areas to cross over. The migration through their propert will increase 10 fold. After a year they will be begging for a wall.
