President Donald Trump’s acting attorney general, Matthew Whitaker, will oversee special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.

“The Acting Attorney General is in charge of all matters under the purview of the Department of Justice,” a spokesperson for the department said Wednesday when asked if Whitaker would oversee Mueller’s investigation.

Trump announced in a pair of tweets minutes earlier on Wednesday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions would be replaced by Whitaker, who was Sessions’ chief of staff at the Justice Department. Sessions had resigned at Trump’s “request,” according to his resignation letter.

    Now the Democrats are beginning to sweat. With Whitaker taking over and overseeing Rod R performance, the Democrats are afraid of what is going to be brought out and when the going gets rough they ask people to recluse themselves. Whitamer better not recluse himself and get to the bottom of the corruption in the Department of Justice. Also he should have double security because with the hatred and the mob attitude of the Democrats you never know what’s going to happen. Maybe Whitaker will help Trump declassify the information from Judicial Watch and we will know who the corrupt politicians are.

    Mueller should have recused himself at the outset of the investigation. Hillary was the root cause of all of this, and the investgation was created to detract justice against Hillary being carried out.
