President Trump did not join other attendees at former President George H.W. Bush’s funeral on Wednesday as they read the Apostles’ Creed, drawing pushback from critics online.

Trump stood solemnly beside the Clintons and Obamas as the former presidents recited the Christian creed from their programs.

The article goes on to state the following:

Trump did not engage in some of the singing during the service, some detractors pointed out. Former President George W. Bush also did not participate in all of the songs.

“Striking that all the former Presidents and First Ladies recited the Apostles Creed, but Trump and Melania stood silently and did not,” one Twitter user wrote. “The creeds are at the heart of historic orthodox Christianity.”

Curious moment here as all of the former Presidents and First Ladies read and recite the Apostles’ Creed – President Trump & the current First Lady do not. #GeorgeHWBushFuneral pic.twitter.com/fTqNkS4fDe

Another thing is W was flirting with Michelle Obama. Does he not show respect. Obama sat with his noes so high in the air , that if it rained he would surely drown. None showed the sitting President or First Lady any respect which is so low class. Laura Bush did address Melania. Michelle Obama as usual had her sour face. Why didn’t this make headlines.

Today was an honorable respectful tribute to a past president. Compare it to McCain’s funeral.. ugh. The Bush’s request to have our president there should teach hateful people what class truly is.

I go to church and there are times I close my eyes and simply reflect the whole mass, I do not sing nor mutter a word except when we exchange a sign of peace to those around us! People enough already!
There is nothing said in the Roman Church that you have to participate! It looked to me that our President and First Lady were REFLECTING!
    Stop the madness, please!

Wow! Get over yourselves. How a person decides to express his or her religion is a personal choice. People go to a funeral to show respect for the deceased, but to partake in religious rituals which may or may not be part of their belief system. What part of this article shows any tolerance for difference of belief? Among religious people, I would expect better!!
