President Donald Trump tweeted about The Houston Astros visit in Washington, D.C. on Monday, the team’s first-ever visit to the White House.

The team took a break from spring training to go on the trip after they were invited to celebrate their World Series victory.

In his tweet, Trump wrote: It was my great honor to welcome the 2017 World Series Champion Houston @Astros to the @WhiteHouse! #HoustonStrong

During a press conference (see below) President Trump commended the team, applauding their unbreakable spirit considering the devastation Hurricane Harvey had caused in their state before the series.

Trump also highlighted a few players from the team, including George Springer, Jose Altuve, and Justin Verlander, who he bragged was “a monster” golf player.

Trump received a jersey as a gift from the team.
