President Trump just tweeted about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s upended trip in a Friday morning tweet.

Pelosi and other Democrats were already loaded on a bus preparing to depart for Joint Base Andrews to fly out of the country on an international trip Thursday, when President Trump suddenly brought the trip to a screeching halt with one letter.

The president told Pelosi that her trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan was being postponed, due to the government shutdown, but added that she was quite welcome to continue the trip by flying commercial if she preferred.

“I also feel that, during this period, it would be better if you were in Washington negotiating with me and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the Shutdown,” Trump wrote.

The move came just one day after Pelosi shot off a letter to the president, dis-inviting him from giving his State of the Union Speech in the House, “due to the government shutdown,” and saying he could deliver it in writing instead.

Friday morning, President Trump finally tweeted about the incident:

Why would Nancy Pelosi leave the Country with other Democrats on a seven day excursion when 800,000 great people are not getting paid. Also, could somebody please explain to Nancy & her “big donors” in wine country that people working on farms (grapes) will have easy access in!
