Trump Tweets: Congratulates election winners

Late Tuesday night, President Trump sent out Twitter posts congratulating three Republican candidates for their election victories.

The president congratulated Michigan businessman and Iraqi war veteran John James for his primary Senate race win. He now will run against Democrat incumbent Debbie Stabenow in November. Trump tweeted:

Congratulations to a future STAR of the Republican Party, future Senator John James. A big and bold victory tonight in the Great State of Michigan – the first of many. November can’t come fast enough!

Trump also congratulated Bill Schuette for winning the GOP primary race for governor of Michigan. He now faces Democratic primary winner Gretchen Whitmer in the November general election. Trump tweeted:

Congratulations to Bill Schuette. You will have a Big win in November and be a tremendous Governor for the Great State of Michigan. Lots of car and other companies moving back!

Republican Josh Hawley won the Senate primary in Missouri, and will now attempt to unseat Democrat Sen. Claire McCaskill  in November. Trump tweeted his congratulations:

Congratulations to Josh Hawley on your big Senate Primary win in Missouri. I look forward to working with you toward a big win in November. We need you in Washington!
