TRUMP TWEETS: ‘Cryin Chuck,’ border wall and more!

JANUARY 10, 2019

President Trump went after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in a mocking tweet Thursday morning, refuting Schumer’s claim that he slammed his hand on the table when he walked out of the meeting with Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday.

At the meeting in the White House Situation Room on Wednesday, when Pelosi declared she would still not authorize any funding for Trump’s border wall, President Trump walked out of the meeting. Schumer and Pelosi then went out to speak with reporters, where Schumer said the president had a “temper tantrum” and slammed his hand on the table.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy also spoke out on Wednesday, denying Schumer’s claim.

President Trump tweeted Thursday morning:

Cryin Chuck told his favorite lie when he used his standard sound bite that I “slammed the table & walked out of the room. He had a temper tantrum.” Because I knew he would say that, and after Nancy said no to proper Border Security, I politely said bye-bye and left, no slamming!

The president then added:

There is GREAT unity with the Republicans in the House and Senate, despite the Fake News Media working in overdrive to make the story look otherwise. The Opposition Party & the Dems know we must have Strong Border Security, but don’t want to give “Trump” another one of many wins!

Trump praised Fox and Friends, assuring co-host Steve Doocy that he will not “cave.”

“Great support for Border Security and the Wall.” @foxandfriends Even greater than anyone would know! “Presidents supporters do not want him to cave.” @SteveDoocy I won’t!

President Trump is going to visit the border today. He wrote:

Getting ready to leave for the Great State of Texas! #MAGA

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

No matter what palosi and Schumer say about these poor people that aren’t getting their checks cause of the shut down. They don’t care about these people, if they did, they would negotiate with President Trump to make a deal with the border. They don’t give a rats ass about those people, it shows with what I just said.
