The Washington Post published a report on Wednesday, claiming that an unidentified official from within the U.S. intelligence community has filed a “whistleblower complaint” regarding President Trump’s “troubling” interaction during a phone call with a foreign leader.

The sources for the Washington Post report were all anonymous, and the mysterious foreign leader was not identified.

The whistleblower reportedly filed the complaint on August 12, and the Washington Post declared that, according to White House records, the president communicated with five foreign leaders in the five weeks preceding the complaint, which included a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 31 and two letters received from North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

President Trump lashed out in response to the report via Twitter on Thursday.  He tweeted:

Another Fake News story out there – It never ends! Virtually anytime I speak on the phone to a foreign leader, I understand that there may be many people listening from various U.S. agencies, not to mention those from the other country itself. No problem!

….Knowing all of this, is anybody dumb enough to believe that I would say something inappropriate with a foreign leader while on such a potentially “heavily populated” call. I would only do what is right anyway, and only do good for the USA!

Presidential Harassment!
