President Trump called out the New York Times over a story the media outlet published Sunday, titled, “U.S. Opposition to Breast-Feeding Resolution Stuns World Health Officials.”

The story claimed that the United States “upended deliberations” to a resolution intended to encourage breast-feeding that was expected to be easily approved in Geneva at the United Nations-affiliated World Health Assembly.

President Trump lashed out in a Twitter post Monday, stating:

The failing NY Times Fake News story today about breast feeding must be called out. The U.S. strongly supports breast feeding but we don’t believe women should be denied access to formula. Many women need this option because of malnutrition and poverty.

The president then tweeted a slam against drug companies for raising prices, and vowed to retaliate:

Pfizer & others should be ashamed that they have raised drug prices for no reason. They are merely taking advantage of the poor & others unable to defend themselves, while at the same time giving bargain basement prices to other countries in Europe & elsewhere. We will respond!
