A tractor-trailer with 55 people inside was found in a San Antonio neighborhood Tuesday night, reports the San Antonio Express-News.

Authorities found the trailer in an alley on the northeast side of the city and said the people inside, including children, were unharmed except for five individuals who suffered minor injuries. The injured were taken to a hospital to be treated.

All of the occupants of the trailer, aside from the five who were hospitalized, were taken to a detention center after they were searched, according to KSAT-TV. They are all suspected of entering the country illegally, the station said.

The article goes on to state the following:

San Antonio Fire Department Chief Charles Hood told the Express-News that the people were hydrated and in air conditioning in the trailer but were hungry. So pizza was ordered and they were all fed at the scene.

Jenny Hixon from Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services told the station that RAICES will provide legal services to the individuals found inside the trailer.

They all got free medical care on taxpayer money. Would you get that kind of care? Not a chance. Deport the same way they came in.

Stuff them back in the truck and send them back to Mexico.

I live near San Antonio. I watched this breaking news last night as it was happening about 11:30 CT. Just went through a health incident. Can’t afford the medical equipment I’m needing. Believe me when I say I have absolutely no sympathy for these ILLEGAL ALIENS who come here and expect the door to the US candy store is open to them 24/7. I’m sick and totally fed up. I saw just last week that a Texas detention facility was written up for not meeting standards for the POOR CRIMINALS THEY WERE HOUSING AND FEEDING AND GIVING MEDI CAL TREATMENT! Whose standards!?! Why are we the worlds caretakers!?! We are taking care of CRIMINALS before our own citizens. This country gets crazier upside down every day! BUILD THE DAM* WALL ALREADY!! Rant over 🤢!
