Comments made in the past by billionaire Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg are coming back to haunt him.

Some of the comments were made about minority individuals, and other about transgender individuals.

The Washington Examiner reported:

2020 Democrat Michael Bloomberg may be in more hot water after comments he made about minorities during a 2011 interview resurfaced.

“There’s this enormous cohort of black and Latino males, age, let’s say, 16 to 25, that don’t have jobs, don’t have any prospects, don’t know how to find jobs, don’t know what their skill sets are, [and] don’t know how to behave in the workplace where they have to work collaboratively and collectively,” Bloomberg said in an interview with PBS.

“If you look at where crime takes place, it’s in minority neighborhoods,” the former New York City mayor added. “If you look at who the victims and the perpetrators are, it’s virtually all minorities. This is something that has gone on for a long time. I assume it’s prevalent elsewhere, but certainly true in New York City. And for many, many years, people said there was just nothing you can do about it.”

BuzzFeed further reports on comments Bloomberg made in 2019 describing transgender people:

A newly uncovered video shows Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg in 2019 describing transgender people as “he, she, or it” and “some guy in a dress” who enters girls locker rooms — invoking a conservative cliché as he argued that transgender rights are toxic for presidential candidates trying to reach Middle America.

“If your conversation during a presidential election is about some guy wearing a dress and whether he, she, or it can go to the locker room with their daughter, that’s not a winning formula for most people,” he said.

Bloomberg made a similar remark about a “man wearing a dress” in 2016, but his comments uncovered Tuesday — remarks he made less than a year ago — came amid the early stages of the 2020 Democratic primary.

The remarks sparked a massive response on Twitter and prompted comments from the founder of Black Guns Matter, who offered a new nickname for the billionaire candidate.

African-American gun rights activist Maj Toure commented on Bloomberg’s comments about “black and Latino males.” He said Bloomberg and rumored potential running mate Hillary Clinton have both pursued policies that were harmful to the black community.

“If they team up super-frisk is their name forever,” joked Toure on Fox Nation’s “Deep Dive” on Tuesday.

Also commenting on the “black and Latino males” video, a Twitter user with the handle @Biddy702858 wrote:

“Want a peek into what elite leftists really think of black people? Look no further.”

Responding to the transgender comments, @DianaKFlynn wrote:

“LGBT for Bloomberg: He only hates some of us!”

“Omg. It’s all too much with him. Make it stop.”

Meanwhile, the “Bloomberg campaign says it’s a two-man race for the nomination per Bloomberg the news organization owned and controlled by Bloomberg,” according to a tweet from Yashar Ali with HuffPost.
