ORISKANY, N.Y. — Naythen Aubain is officially charged with two counts of murder. The 29-year old was arraigned Tuesday evening at the Oneida County Correctional Facility’s court room.
More than a dozen police officers ushered Aubain into court for his arraignment. Aubain’s head was covered with a spit shield. Reporters asked him why he killed his grandmother. “In the name of Jesus Christ,” Aubain said.
The article goes on to state the following:
He made an even more disturbing statement while in court. “I did do it. I chopped her up. I chopped up the landlady too,” Aubain said.
Aubain is accused of killing his grandmother, Katherine Aubain, 90, and their landlord Jane Wentka, 87, in the two-family home they shared on Tilden Ave. in East Utica.
During the court proceeding Aubain became combative multiple times to the point that officers were forced to strap him into a restraint chair.

Radio host Rocco LaDuca tweeted, “Naythen Aubain says he’d “chop up anyone who disrespects me” after admitting he “chopped up” his grandmother & landlady in “name of Jesus Christ,” and also alleged someone kept touching him sexually and he was sick of it… … but Naythen Aubain’s public defender says he didn’t give much thought to his client’s damning utterances at this time during the murder arraignment, suggesting they might reflect Aubain’s troubled mental state.”

#BREAKING: When asked why he killed his Grandma and his landlord, Naythen Aubain said “In the name of Jesus Christ.” He claimed “she” was touching me sexually and he’d had enough of it. He wore a bag on his head. In my experience, it’s because he spit on someone @NewsChannel9 https://t.co/6DlpufEb0f
