Hundreds of furloughed federal workers, contractors, union representatives and supporters gathered in the brisk wind and bitter cold Thursday to demand government leaders “end this shutdown.”

Leaders of the National Federation of Federal Employees said they hoped that bringing federal workers to the president’s doorstep would show him whom the shutdown has hurt most. President Trump, though, wasn’t there to see them, having left earlier in the day to visit the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas.

The article goes on to state the following:

“We want to send a very strong message — that this is not about politics, it’s about getting people back to work,” said Brittany Holder, a spokeswoman for the NFFE and a protest organizer. “A lot of the county thinks federal workers are all here in the D.C. area, but it’s only 15 percent. If you’re living paycheck to paycheck to make ends meet, and suddenly the paychecks stop? People are feeling really stressed and anxious, and they want to know when this will end.”

The group began to march about 1:20 p.m. to the White House, calling on Trump to reopen the government with or without funding he has requested for a border wall.

Washington Post reporter Marissa Lang shared several photos and videos from the massive protest. It started out in front of the AFL-CIO building, then they protesters marched to the White House. She wrote in one tweet, “The #ShutdownProtest has made it to the White House. They’re chanting, “Pay the workers, furlough Trump.” President Trump, meanwhile, is in Texas.”

Reportedly, the crowd was cheered on by several lawmakers, including Bernie Sanders, Mark Warner and Steny Hoyer.

So why are they demanding President Trump to open the government? Shouldn’t they be demanding the Democrats? Pelosi?
I suppose the Democrats are behind this demonstration to demand the President to back down.

The Dumdums are so deceitful. Approve it, then you can read it. Remember Nanny’s words. Now it’s “sign our bills first and we will negotiate the wall.” Sure! Answer is still “No.”

I was a government employee for 13 years. They are among the laziest worthless workers I’ve ever had the miss pleasure of working with. Obama created a huge bloated government of unionized civil service workers Who are illiterate and pretty much useless Placeholders. They are nearly impossible to get rid of. Get rid of their jobs we don’t need them.

Bunch of crybabies. They think nothing about it when the private sector worker gets laid off. Why don’t the talk to Pelosi and Schumer.
