TURLOCK, Calif. (KCRA) Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being inducted into his high school’s hall of fame in his hometown of Turlock.

Kaepernick grew up in Stanislaus County and attended Pitman High School. He played football, baseball and basketball. During his senior year, Kaepernick led the school in its first playoff win.

The article goes on to state the following:

Kaepernick created waves after he began kneeling for the national anthem before NFL games two years ago in protest of police brutality. His actions led to nationwide movements and protests, including gaining President Donald Trump’s ire. Recently, Kaepernick appeared in Nike’s 20th anniversary “Just Do It” campaign commercial.

Kaepernick and eight others will be inducted to the school’s hall of fame on Nov. 3.

Pitman High School Athletic Director Dave Wells said Kaepernick deserves the honor at the school.

    Yes, a real inspiration he is. If he felt so strong about his cause why didn’t he start some sort of charity, foundation, etc to help young people? Nope, what he does is disrespect our country & veterans by taking a knee during our national anthem, wears socks depicting police officers as pigs and oh yes he did start an organization called…..Know Your Rights. Hmmmmm. A person really worthy of honors and recognition.

    Kaepernick is NOT a hero he is ZERO.
    Did not work in dengerous job, he was not at war veterans, why he is a hero?
    He is selfish , no respect, no tact, no heart, no class, cold as Siberia.
    No respect for America, no respect for our nation flag, no respect for our hero’s
    veterans , our policemen who struggles with their lifes every night with gangs , murder,violence,drugs,robbing ,mafia e.t.c
    All night they consider our security.
    A lot of young men policemen died they murdered them.God bless them for this dangerous job all of them are BIG HEROS.what Kaepernick did ? NOTHING.
    Made a mess in our country..,
