One woman is dead and another is injured after a man shouting “Allahu akbar” and “shoot me” while wielding a knife began attacking people in Sydney, Australia.

The 21-year-old suspect is yet to be named, but police said that he was a “lone actor” and has a history of mental illness. When apprehended, police reportedly found a USB drive on him containing details about mass slayings in New Zealand and the United States.

The police commissioner said the man had no clear links to terrorist organizations but had some ideologies related to terrorism. The stabbing is not being investigated as a terrorism incident.

At Tuesday around 2 p.m. local time, the suspect allegedly jumped in front of a car shouting and then stabbed a 41-year-old woman in the back before being restrained by three others. Police found the body of a 21-year-old woman nearby.
