VIDEO: Trump drops a ‘bombshell’ report on Gov. Cuomo over ventilators

MARCH 24, 2020

Speaking with Fox News host Bill Hemmer in the Rose Garden Tuesday afternoon, President Trump dropped a “bombshell” about New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo.

New York is the hardest-hit state in the nation amid the coronavirus pandemic, with over 25,000 known cases, and Cuomo has been desperately asking the federal government to provide at least 30,000 ventilators needed for patients to help them breathe.

Under normal circumstances, New York reportedly only needs a few thousand ventilators, but now the need is desperate. Cuomo discussed the urgency of the matter in a press briefing Tuesday morning.

President Trump told Fox News that he had watched Cuomo’s press briefing, and noted all the federal government is doing for New York.

“He should have ordered the ventilators when he had a chance,” Trump said, revealing a news report that said, “Cuomo rejected buying recommended 16,000 ventilators in 2015 for a pandemic.”

He had a chance to buy 16,000 ventilators at a very low price, and he turned it down, Trump said, adding, “He’s supposed to be buying his own ventilators!”

The president assured that the federal government is definitely going to help New York in this time, noting “we’re building him four hospitals, four medical centers, we’re working very hard for the people of New York, then I watch him on the show complaining.”
