President Trump on Monday denied he “worked for Russia” in his most direct response yet to a bombshell report that the FBI became so worried about his behavior toward Moscow that it opened an investigation into whether he was working on its behalf.

“I never worked for Russia,” Trump told reporters at the White House before leaving to speak at a farmers’ convention in New Orleans.

The article goes on to state the following:

“Not only did I never work for Russia, I think it’s a disgrace that you even asked that question because it’s a whole big fat hoax,” he continued.

When the president first came outside for the press briefing prior to his departure for New Orleans, he said, “It’s too bad they took the snow off the ground. It was more beautiful last night.”

Trump said he was looking forward to hosting the Clemson national championship football team at the White House later this evening, and said food would be served to the team.

President Trump also took a swipe at the Democrats attending the winter retreat in San Juan.

“I’ve been here all weekend,” he said, adding, “A lot of Democrats are in Puerto Rico celebrating something – maybe they’re celebrating the shutdown.”

Below is a video of the entire press briefing with President Trump Monday morning. He spoke to reporters as he exited the White House and departed for New Orleans.
