Ilhan Omar’s husband discovered the truth about her torrid affair with her chief fundraiser when he went to her Washington D.C. apartment last spring and found the lovers lounging around in pajamas, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

Ahmed Hirsi had long suspected that Omar, 39, was cheating on him with married Tim Mynett  but the proof came when he caught the hijab-wearing congresswoman in a state that no Muslim woman would expect to be with a man who is not her husband.

The article goes on to state the following:

Two separate sources confirmed the account to DailyMail.com, saying that Hirsi was left ‘angry and humiliated’ by the encounter.

According to the Daily Mail report, Hirsi had wanted to move to Washington, D.C. with his wife, but the new congresswoman insisted he stay in Minnesota with their children.

The sources said Hirsi suspected his wife was cheating on him, but “she kept telling him he was paranoid.”

Finally, he went to D.C. to surprise her for a visit, and his worst fears were confirmed. “It wasn’t that he actually caught them in bed but they were clearly in a romantic situation,” the report states.

Just 37 days after divorcing Omar, Hirsi remarried on Dec. 12, 2019. According to Daily Mail, Omar is paying him as much as $250,000 over the next 6 years, as long has he does not speak publicly about the breakdown of their marriage.

Omar’s campaign also paid Mynett’s fundraising company over a half a million dollars last year.
