POLL: Do you support Gov. Abbott’s plan to bus illegal aliens to Washington, D.C.?

Fed up with Joe Biden’s open border policies that have resulted in a flood of illegal aliens pouring across the U.S. border, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that Texas will be putting the illegal aliens on a bus and dropping them off at the steps of the U.S. Capitol.

“To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington D.C.”

“We are sending them to the United States Capitol where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border,” he added.

Abbott said he has 900 buses available to conduct the operation.

Responding to the plan on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dismissed it as a “publicity stunt.”

“I know that the governor of Texas, or any state, does not have the legal authority to compel anyone to get on a bus,” Psaki declared.

On Thursday, Abbott doubled down, saying, “President Biden refuses to come to the southern border to see the chaos he has created. So, we’re taking the border to him. Texas will be transporting illegal immigrants to the U.S. Capitol.”

During the press conference Wednesday afternoon, Abbott noted that since the Biden administration is doing away with the Title 42 program, which began during the Trump administration, officials are expecting the surge to grow to up to 18,000 illegal aliens crossing per DAY, or about 500,000 per month.
