POLL: Do you want Donald Trump to return to Twitter?

From the moment Tesla owner Elon Musk sealed the $44 billion deal to purchase Twitter and take the company private, speculation has been swirling about whether former President Donald Trump will return to the platform.

Twitter banned Trump and closed his account following the January 6, 2020 riot at the U.S. Capitol building.

Trump has since started his own social media platform, Truth Social, which is in its initial launching stages.

Many on the left are in a panic that Trump will be allowed back on Twitter, including a large number of Twitter employees.

Independent journalist Andy Ngo tweeted Monday evening, “From my sources: Vocal Twitter employees on internal chats indicate their biggest fear is Donald Trump being unbanned. Many express strong hatred toward @elonmusk & say they’re sick of hearing about “free speech.” They’re concerned about their mental health.”

However, Trump released a statement through his spokesperson on Monday, saying he will not return to Twitter, even if he is invited back.

“Trump will not return to Twitter even as Elon Musk purchases platform, will begin using his own TRUTH Social,” the statement reads.

Despite Trump’s statement, DML News App founder Dennis Michael Lynch predicted Trump will be back.

Conservative podcaster Benny Johnson weighed in, tweeting, “Elon Musk should restore Donald Trump’s Twitter account, regardless of whether he plans to use it or not. Free Speech on Twitter starts with righting previous wrongs.”
