POLL: Should drag shows in the presence of minors be BANNED?

At the Dallas event, titled “Drag The Kids To Pride,” parents were invited to bring their children along for a drag show. In video footage from the event, children were seen dancing with men dressed in drag beneath a sign that read, “It’s not gonna lick itself.”

Slaton is outraged, and is vowing to put a stop to children being brought to drag shows.

“We must protect Texas kids from sick adults who want to sexualize them. No drag shows. No porn in their libraries. No gender transition surgeries. Yes to letting kids be kids,” the lawmaker wrote on Twitter.

“Drag shows are no place for a child. I would never take my children to a drag show and I know Speaker Dade Phelan and my Republican colleagues wouldn’t either. I will be filing legislation to address this issue in the new #txlege,” Slaton vowed while sharing a copy of his press release on Twitter.

“At a drag show in Dallas this past weekend, sick adults enticed kids to put dollar bills the underwear of men dressed as women. This is disgusting and dangerous. It can’t be allowed to continue. My Republican colleagues and I will protect kids from these sickos,” Slaton wrote in another tweet.

Slaton also retweeted a photo another Twitter user shared from the event, as a child is seen giving a drag performer money, putting it in the person’s underwear.

In sharing the photo, the Twitter user wrote, “This picture needs to be shown to all 435 members of Congress, all 100 members of the Senate, the VP, and the president himself and asked one simple question, “Is this okay?”. If the answer is “yes”, they should be removed immediately.”
