REPORT: Nancy Pelosi’s daughter slams Trump for lack of condolences
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s older brother died on Sunday, and her daughter has lashed out at President Trump for failing to tweet a condolence message.
Pelosi’s brother, Thomas D’Alesandro III, 90, died at his home in Baltimore on Sunday, following complications from a stroke.
Alesandro was the mayor of Baltimore from 1967 to 1971, and his and Pelosi’s father was also a former mayor of Baltimore.
Sunday afternoon, President Trump did refer to Pelosi in a Twitter post, but it had nothing to do with her brother’s death. He wrote, “Pelosi is now leading a delegation of 9, including Corrupt Adam Schiff, to Jordan to check out Syria. She should find out why Obama drew The Red Line In the Sand, & then did NOTHING, losing Syria & all respect. I did something, 58 missiles. One million died under Obama’s mistake!”
Pelosi’s daughter, Christine Pelosi, tweeted in response, “You misspelled “Melania and I extend our condolences to Speaker Pelosi on the death of her beloved brother Thomas D’Alesandro III.””
