It’ll be hard to ketchup after this mess.
Drivers in California battled major traffic delays early Monday after a truck carrying a massive shipment of tomatoes overturned — covering the highway in a juicy, red sludge.
The big rig filled with the fruit had been driving eastbound on Interstate 80 near the city of Vacaville when it rammed into another vehicle and smashed into the center median around 5 a.m. — spilling nearly 300,000 tomatoes, USA Today reported.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision that ultimately caused the massive mess on the interstate, which created a huge backup of traffic until it could be cleaned up.
The report explains that some vehicles tried to drive through the mess didn’t fare so well, as they lost control and skidded into each other.
No major injuries were reported, despite the red nightmare on the highway.
