The gloves came off Thursday morning between President Trump and Democrat challenger, billionaire Michael Bloomberg, former New York City mayor.

CNBC reported that Bloomberg is paying online influencers to post memes for his 2020 campaign.

“Mike Bloomberg has been paying a handful of social media influencers to post satirical memes about him for his Democratic presidential bid,” CNBC wrote.

President Trump’s social media director, Dan Scavinio, responded to the CNBC story by posting a photo of President Trump at a December 2017 “ribbon cutting” ceremony in the White House, in which he used a large stack of papers to demonstrate the massive amount of regulations on the books that he intends to cut down.

A short version of Bloomberg is edited in to the photo, standing in front of the massive pile of regulations.

President Trump then responded to the image, mocking Bloomberg. He tweeted:

Mini Mike Bloomberg is a LOSER who has money but can’t debate and has zero presence, you will see. He reminds me of a tiny version of Jeb “Low Energy” Bush, but Jeb has more political skill and has treated the Black community much better than Mini!

In another tweet, Trump hit Bloomberg again:

Mini Mike is a 5’4” mass of dead energy who does not want to be on the debate stage with these professional politicians. No boxes please. He hates Crazy Bernie and will, with enough money, possibly stop him. Bernie’s people will go nuts!

Bloomberg responded with an insulting Twitter post of his own. He wrote:

.@realDonaldTrump – we know many of the same people in NY. Behind your back they laugh at you & call you a carnival barking clown. They know you inherited a fortune & squandered it with stupid deals and incompetence. I have the record & the resources to defeat you. And I will.

Wednesday night, Bloomberg released a message declaring he’s going to beat Donald Trump in November.
